Snagging and punch list apps compared

We make PunchSheet, one of the apps below. That is a bias, so every other row comes from the maker's own page, read on 5 November 2026, and the sources are listed at the end. Where another app suits the job better, this page says so.

Two kinds of app

  • One inspector, one phone. You walk the site, photograph each snag and send a PDF the same day. These apps are a one-off purchase and keep the work on the device: PunchSheet, Site Report Pro and Site Audit Pro.
  • A team on a shared project. Several people work on the same list, with plans, assignments and a web view. These are subscriptions, usually priced per user each month: Fieldwire, PlanRadar and Snagmaster.

Which one for which job

  • You inspect alone and send the report yourself. A one-off app is enough. PunchSheet runs on Android and iPhone, needs no account and keeps every project on your phone. If you only use an iPhone and want many report designs, Site Report Pro has 40 themes.
  • Several inspectors work on the same list. PunchSheet has no shared projects: each phone holds its own, and a project moves between phones only as a backup file. A team platform such as Fieldwire, PlanRadar or Snagmaster fits better.
  • You pin snags on drawings. PunchSheet works with photos, not plans. Snagmaster states plan markup; check the others with a trial.
  • You want the data to stay with you. PunchSheet has no account and no internet access, and we receive nothing from it; the privacy policy has the details.
