PunchSheet

A snagging and punch list app for site inspections. Add each issue with photos, mark the photos up, and share one numbered PDF report. It works offline and needs no account: your projects stay on your phone.

What it does

  • Projects with a name, address and client.
  • Snags (or punch items, or defects: you choose the word in Settings) with a title, level, area, note and status: open, fixed or closed. A fixed item records the day it was fixed.
  • Several photos per snag, from the camera or your photo library, in the order you choose. “Add from photos” turns each picked photo into its own snag.
  • Markup on photos: arrows, circles, rectangles, lines, freehand and text, in six colours and three stroke widths. The original photo is never changed.
  • Level and area suggestions that learn the values you type.
  • Numbers stay fixed: deleting a snag never renumbers the others.

The report

The PDF is built on your phone, with no internet connection: a cover with your logo and company name, a summary by status, then every snag in number order with its photos. You can include everything, open items only, or open and fixed items, and print the time each photo was taken.

Photos are sized so that a report of 100 photos stays under 15 MB, small enough for most email services. Share it from the app by email, messages or any app that accepts files.

Your data and backups

Projects, photos and settings are kept only on your phone, in the app's own storage. PunchSheet has no account and no internet access, and we receive nothing from it. If you delete the app, anything you have not backed up is deleted with it.

To keep a copy, open a project's menu and choose Back up project, thenSave to folder. A backup is one .punchsheet file with every photo and all markup. You can also share it by email or Drive, but only a backup saved to a folder counts towards the backup reminder. Details are in theprivacy policy.

Moving to a new phone

  1. On the old phone, back up each project and save the files somewhere the new phone can reach, such as Drive or iCloud Drive.
  2. On the new phone, open Settings → Import backup and pick the file.

The project opens as a copy with every snag, photo, markup and number. Backups move between Android and iPhone. A damaged file is refused and nothing in the app changes.

Support

Email destek@msclabs.tr. Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 Istanbul time (UTC+3); we aim to reply within 48 hours on working days.

Please say which phone and app version you have (Settings shows the version) and what you were doing. We cannot see your projects: if a backup will not import, you can attach the file.
